Meridian Health Services is currently seeking a full time day Behavioral Clinician/Technician (Case Manager) for our Community Support Program located in Richmond, Indiana serving Wayne County. This position will work from 8a to 5p. This is a great opportunity to make an impact in the lives of others. 

The Community Support program serves adults with severe and persistent mental illness facing particular challenges and barriers to achieving recovery, wellness, and self-reliance in everyday living.  Meridian Health Services offers an array of treatment options to help people manage their illness to become more independent and thrive in their community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interview, counsel, and provide resolution for clients in crisis situation involving social, emotional, financial, marital, health, or other problems
  • Travel up to 90% to other locations to provide services
  • Case Management Services - evaluation, preparation, and implementation of case management plans
  • Organize and conduct client support groups
  • Maintain working relationships and act as a liaison for client with medical staff and staff of agencies and institutions, homes, and facilities
  • Encourage and assist clients toward independent living and a sense of self-esteem
  • Prepare and maintain written case records, reports and forms, including case follow-up and closing
  • Maintain Meridian Health Services standards, policies, procedures, and regulations in accordance with local, state and federal laws and with ethical standards of profession
  • Maintain productivity standards as assigned

We are seeking candidates with the following qualities:

  • HS diploma or its equivalent plus 2.5 years behavioral healthcare experience required at minimum
  • Bachelor's degree (BA, BS, BSW) in the following disciplines:  Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Education, Nursing, Recreational Therapy, Rehabilitation, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Pastoral Counseling, Child Development or High School diploma (or equivelant) and 2.5 years of experience in behavioral health preferred
  • BSW also preferred
  • A valid driver's license with a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
  • A commitment to providing individual attention to help clients achieve mental, emotional and physical well-being

Compensation based on education and experience starting at $12.83

Drug screen, extensive background check, and fingerprinting are required.
